A lost or replaced phone

Get everything back on a new device, remove the old one from your account, or erase a device before giving it away.

With Solo or Family, your notebook is also on your other devices, and we keep a copy of it: if you lose a phone, you lose nothing.

On the new phone

Install the app and connect it to your account: everything comes back. See Find your notebook on another device.

Remove the old one from your account

1. On one of your other devices, tap Settings, then Account.
2. In the list of your devices, tap “Remove…” next to the old one, then confirm.

It will no longer receive or send anything. You'll find the same list in My Account on our website, on the “My devices” page.

Before giving away or lending a device

Go to Settings, then Account. Tap “Disconnect this iPhone…” or “Disconnect this phone…”, depending on the device, then tap “Disconnect and Erase”. The notebook is erased from the device, but your account keeps it. Your password is all you'll need to get it back.
